Steffi Drerup is a visual artist currently based in Berlin.<\/p>\n

She works with photography, archives and book-making to make fragmented memories and their visual traces visible. Her practice weaves together self portraiture, performative approaches and the materiality of images. The resulting sequences reveal gaps, shifts and ruptures, exploring how personal experiences become inscribed into collective narratives.<\/p>\n
Moving between body and landscape, her work operates at the edges of what can be remembered or articulated. Many of her image sequences emerge in dialogue with archives or places whose histories have only survived in fragments.<\/p>\n

Having studied with Ute Mahler, she holds an MA from Ostkreuz School for Photography Berlin (2021); she also received a BA from London Guildhall University (2000).<\/p>\n
