The Order of the Heavenly Bodies is a handmade artist book combining images from twenty‑five years of artistic work with material from my family archive.
It looks at the female body across generations and how our bodies have been shaped, judged and instructed by history.
Two sewn‑in tiny research booklets expand the story: one about Nazi child‑rearing ideology and historical anatomical studies of the pregnant body.
The title nods to the idea of an imagined sisterhood – an order of women connected as clearly as the stars that give the book its name.
